5 days of music, community & nature

One of the most moving qualities of the handpan for me is its ability to open peaceful spaces. Spaces where the outside world becomes quieter for a moment, where letting go feels easier, and where the present moment becomes more tangible.

I will accompany you on your individual journey to rediscover or deepen your playing, whether you come with or without any musical background.

Through the sound of the handpan and the relationship between its tones, I will show you a new way of connecting, in relationship with yourself and with your instrument.

This retreat is an invitation to truly listen to yourself and to give space to whatever wants to reveal itself. To explore, to discover, to feel, to embody, and to let things flow.

This is exactly the kind of space I wish to create together with you and our small, intimate group. For you, for your playing, and for everything that may unfold during these days.

I am looking forward to you..

About the location

Located between Hamburg and Berlin, Sonnenhaus Liebenthal rests within wide, gently rolling fields and quiet forests. It is a place where nature, history, and lived community meet in a simple and honest way.

Surrounded by trees, the panoramic sauna opens toward the vast landscape and the slowly setting sun. A deeply grounding, nature connected experience that touches the senses and continues to resonate long after. The sustainable concept is complemented by outdoor showers and lovingly integrated compost toilets, accessible throughout the garden.

The open garden kitchen is colorful, alive, and inviting. A place to share meals, linger a little longer, and feel at home.

Inside the house, modern elements blend with its original character. Under one roof, a variety of spaces unfolds. Spaces for coming together and sharing, and spaces for retreat, stillness, and personal time. Each room is different, carrying its own quiet story, the bathrooms are shared.

The handpan sessions take place in the large, light filled winter garden, where sound, space, and presence naturally come together.
